At the Canaan Valley meeting of WVFA, the West Virginia Loggers Council met and elected new officers, as set by their bylaws. The new Chair of the Council is Bill Robinson and the Vice Chair is Rick Smith. Other items on the agenda included increased truck road weights and improvements of workers compensation insurance premiums for loggers. In other business, the Council approved dues of $25 per year, to meet financial obligations like dues to the American Loggers Council. This will increase logger dues to $110 a year for duel membership in the WV Loggers Council and the WV Forestry Association.
